Glitch Pixel Studio — Privacy Policy
App package: com.lovebeing.glitchpixelstudio · Last updated: May 2026
Summary
Glitch Pixel Studio is an offline, on-device WebGL visual instrument. It does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no third-party trackers, no cloud storage. Everything you create and every setting you change stays on your device.
Permissions Requested
- Camera— Used only when you tap the camera button inside the app to feed the live camera image into the visual engine. Frames are processed in-memory by your device's GPU and are never uploaded, recorded, or stored unless you explicitly export a still image, GIF, or video.
- Microphone — Used only when you enable audio-reactive mode so the visuals respond to ambient sound. Audio is analyzed in real time on-device and is never recorded, transmitted, or stored.
- Storage / Media access— Used only when you tap Save / Export to write a still image, GIF, or video to your device's gallery, or to load an image you choose as a source layer.
You may revoke any of these permissions at any time via Android Settings → Apps → Glitch Pixel Studio → Permissions. The app will continue to function with the remaining sources.
Data Stored On-Device
Glitch Pixel Studio writes the following to your device's local browser/app storage so your patches and preferences persist between sessions:
- Saved presets and quick-slot assignments
- The most recent session state (current knob values, mode, layer settings)
- MIDI controller mappings (if you have set any)
None of this data leaves your device. Uninstalling the app removes it all.
Data We Do Not Collect
- No name, email, phone number, or account information
- No location, device ID, advertising ID, or contacts
- No analytics, crash reports, or usage telemetry
- No camera frames, microphone audio, or media files are uploaded anywhere
Third-Party Services
Glitch Pixel Studio uses no third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or social sign-in. The only third-party software in the app is the open-source Capacitor runtime, which executes the local web view and does not phone home.
Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Glitch Pixel Studio complies with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA, 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501–6506) and the FTC's Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 312).
- The app is not directed to children under 13.
- We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal informationfrom any user, including children under 13. The app contains no registration, no profile, no chat, no community features, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs that would collect data.
- Because no personal information is collected, no parental notice or verifiable parental consent under COPPA is required, and we have no records to provide, modify, or delete.
- If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information through the app, please contact us using the details below and we will investigate and remove anything we find.
Users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR)
For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the UK GDPR apply. Because Glitch Pixel Studio does not collect, process, transmit, or share any personal data, the app does not act as a data controller or data processor in respect of any user data.
- Lawful basis for processing: Not applicable — no personal data is processed.
- International data transfers: None occur. All processing happens locally on your device.
- Automated decision-making / profiling: None.
- Retention: On-device preferences are retained only until you clear app data or uninstall the app.
- Your data subject rights under GDPR Articles 15–22 (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection): you can fully exercise these yourself at any time by clearing app storage or uninstalling the app, since the data exists only on your device. We hold no copy on any server.
- Right to lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. A list of EEA authorities is published at edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/about-edpb/members_en; UK users may contact the ICO at ico.org.uk.
Users in California (CCPA / CPRA)
We do not collect, sell, or share personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. There is nothing to opt out of, and we have no consumer records to access or delete on your behalf.
Security
Because no personal data is transmitted off your device, there is no remote attack surface for your data. On-device storage relies on the security of your device and your screen lock.
Your Rights
You can erase all Glitch Pixel Studio data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage in Android Settings. Because we hold no data of yours on any server, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
